UNESCO Destination Switzerland

In October 2009, the Organization Destination Switzerland (UDS) was founded. Its main objective is the cooperation between all World Heritage sites Switzerland’s and the marketing of their touristic values. The first step was the creation of the Web page:   unesco-destination-schweiz.ch in four languages and together with Swiss Tourism the production and distribution of a brochure describing all World Heritage sites and Biosphere reserves in Switzerland.

In 2011 the «Premium product – experience the unique Switzerland» will be developed in cooperation with the World Heritage sites Switzerland’s and other service providers in the field of tourism. The offer must meet high quality standards. In the first phase 2010-2011 the national network between the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the main tourism partners shall be structured and strengthened.
