The Projects

The projects are part of a Main Programme, elaborated for a period of four years. The Foundation’s Programme is based on an agreement with the Federal Government as well as on achievement agreements with the Cantons Berne and Valais. The objectives and achievements should fit in with the following framework, issued by the Federal Government:

1. Upkeep of the Outstanding Universal Values of the World Heritage Region
2. Sensitization and training
3. Knowledge Management, Research and Monitoring
4. Management, Communication and spatial protection

Within this frame, the Foundation aims on the one hand at the preservation of the Outstanding Universal Values of the World Heritage and on the other hand at the promotion of the surrounding area and the associated municipalities.
