World of Crystals

The crystal cleft at Gerstenegg displays the fascinating world of crystals in their natural form. The cavern is situated about 1.5 kilometres inside the Grimsel Massif. It was discovered in 1974 during construction work for a hydropower station and now constitutes one of the main attractions on the guided tour of the power station.
