Valley of Waterfalls
The rock faces of the Jungfrau massif drop almost vertically to the bottom of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Huge vertical differences of up to 3200 metres occur within a short horizontal distance of a few kilometres. Rainwater and melted snow and ice combine to form impressive waterfalls leaping over cliffs up to 700 metres high. Among the most famous are the Trümmelbach Falls.
